Clinical and statistical observation of obstetrical cases

Abstract
1. The most frequent delivery season was winter(28.6%) 2. The most frequent age group was 26 to 30 years of age and second most frequent age group was 20 to 25 years of age. The youngest mother was 18 years old and eldest mother was 47 years old. 3. There were 584 primiparas (41.7%) and 816 multiparas (58.3%). 4. The frequency of previous abortion in primipara was 24.8% and 46.9% in multipara. 5. Incidence of various presentations were as follows; 6. The incidence of twin delivery was 1.21% (1:82.4) and the most common presentation was both vertex(47.0%) 7. Vacuum extraction was the most common type of delivery in primipara(62.7%) and normal spontaneous vaginal delivery was the most common in multipara (66.0%) 8. Cesarean section rate was 3.7% (52cases) and the most common indication was cephalopelvic disproportion (59.7%) 9. The incidence of antenatal care was 34.7%. 10. Delivery during daytime (58.2%) was slightly more than nighttime. 11. Mean hemoglobine was 11.8 gm%, 9.8% of the patients had a hemoglobine level below 10.0 gm%. 12. Rh factor was positive in all patients (1,108 cases).
